HeadshotI am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the Florida State University.  My research interests are in applied microeconomics, primarily the fields of public, urban, environmental, and labor economics.  I also have work related to health and sports economics topics.

Prior to working at FSU, I majored in Economics and English at Clemson University, worked as a research associate for an economic consulting firm in Washington, DC, and earned my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Virginia.  I live in Tallahassee, with my wife, Susan, and our dog, Boomer.
