I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Florida State University. My research interests are in applied microeconomics, primarily public, urban, and labor economics topics, but I also do work related to environmental and sports economics.
Prior to working at FSU, I majored in Economics and English at Clemson University, worked as a research associate for an economic consulting firm in Washington, DC, and earned my Ph.D. in economics from the University of Virginia. I live in Tallahassee, with my wife, Susan, and our dog, Boomer.
