I am a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Economics at the University of Chicago. My research interests are in applied microeconomics, primarily the fields of public, urban, environmental, and labor economics. I also have work related to health and sports economics topics.
Prior to working at UChicago, I majored in Economics and English at Clemson University, worked as a research associate for an economic consulting firm in Washington, DC, earned my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Virginia, and worked as an Assistant Professor at Florida State University. I live in Hyde Park, with my wife, Susan, and our dog, Boomer.
